Course Synopsis:
This course will provide an overview of the basic concepts on technology
entrepreneurship (i.e. Technopreneurship) focusing on the nature, environment, and risks
of new venture creation. Active participation by students during class/seminar
discussions and activities is encouraged and expected. Students are expected to:
• Make in-class presentations.
• Participate actively in class and seminar presentations,
• Engage in problem solving, create prototypes (VPC and BMC) and group discussions
using design thinking approach
• Go out to meet with their targeted customer segment(s) to validate, progressively
design and fit their venture VPC and BMC – from problem-solution fit to product
market fit.
• Work in a team to prepare a written business plan and investor presentation (pitching)
